Is there a way to prevent nose pieces on glasses from turning yellow?

The only thing I’ve noticed about this is weither the nose peices are a hard or soft plastic. The soft rubbery ones tend to stay clear longer, also try some rubbing alcohol as the yellowing is a chemical reaction from the oil from the skin.
