Is there a way to make a latte in a coffee machine?
Espresso requires pressure, so you’re never going to get espresso from a regular drip coffee maker. You can, however, make a cafe au lait, which is 1/2 coffee and 1/2 milk. Never put anything other than water in your coffee maker. Heat the milk in the microwave. If you don’t want to invest in a home espresso machine, try a Moka Pot (also called a stove top espresso maker). Some models have a steam arm, which will allow you to steam the milk instead of heating it in the microwave or on the stove. The texture of steamed milk is part of what makes a latte so yummy.
