Is there a way to install another font (Gill Sans MT) with Windows 7 and Office XP?
I think all you have to do is copy the font file from an existing machine/system and paste into your new font directory. It’s not particularly installed – you just add it, and then specify as your default on whatever your word processing program you may have. The two closest (plain type with some shading) in size is Futura. Verdana. and Tahoma are larger but are a similar style. Good luck! Ambi Laughter: It’s easy. Just go to Windows Explorer program on your acessories programs – it looks like a little manilla folder, and it allows you to peek at all the files on your hard drive. If you still have your old computer with the fonts you like, go to your “C” drive or whatever it is you call the drive where Windows is installed, and then find a folder called “WINDOWS”. Under there is another manilla folder called “fonts”. Just open it, and find gillsans font file — it’s just a file like a .jpeg only it will have a .TTF extension. You can copy it either by selecting the file == click on it
