In the ECRT system, there is no way to indicate whether a researcher should certify their effort, or a principal investigator should certify the researcher’s effort. The researcher and the principal investigator will need to communicate outside of ECRT to determine who should certify the statement. It is recommended that researchers certify their own effort.
