As far as improving the reception on the phone you have, no. Their are these things called repeaters, but they only work from your house. They improve cellular service some. Also, it could simply be the phone. Even if the phone is in excellent shape and works great, different phones get a different amount of reception. For example, LG seem to have the most reliable service provided on their phone. This sounds odd. I mean, most people think that since they have Cingular or whatever, everyone else has the same signal. This is not true. Each different phone model has its own strength. Try talking to the carrier, possibly try a new cell phone with that same company. If that doesn’t help, the only option would be to switch carriers. Carriers like Sprint and T-Mobile work great in major metro areas like Sacramento, LA or along major interstates.
