Is there a way to have a swimming pool drained when the actual drain mechanism no longer works?

The problem is the pool at my grandma’s house is now more of a pond then a pool. It has been this way for at least 2 years now if not more and there are tons of frogs and tadpoles in it. The reason it got this way to begin with was that the pump system got messed up and the drain stopped working. Is there a way to have it drained externally by a company or something along those lines. She wants to try and sell her house but the pool is a big blemish on the property especially considering all the frogs that live there now. Thanks for any help you can offer with this.
