Unfortunately, it does sound like your bedspread was exposed to high heat, which is a definate no-no for silk. If the damaged areas feel "crispy" there’s really nothing you can do to repair it. You need to talk to the dry cleaner about compensation and if they refuse you may have grounds for legal action. Just make sure you keep possession of the bedspread for evidence.
