I know that there are additives out there to help minimize or prevent transmission slipping. For about $10 you can find one of these. Throw it in, hope for the best. Usually a transmission = $$$. That’s why I prefer stick… Keep in mind that there’s lots of 96 sunfires out there. Call around and see what a good condition used one costs. When you take it into a transmission shop and he quotes you for the repair, you will know what’s cheaper to do.
