You can change your default browser to Firefox from Internet Explorer, so that it’ll open links in Firefox when you click on them. In Windows XP, you can change it as follows • Start menu • Set Program Access and Defaults This change the default browser of the whole system. If you want only Outlook to use Firefox but other programs still use Internet Explorer, I don’t think there is a way to do it.

Normally Outlook or any other program opening your browser will be doing it based on whatever program you have setup as the default browser for the computer system (in your case Firefox). To get to the “Set Program Access and Defaults” you can sometimes find it right on the start menu on the right-hand side near the control panel link (assuming Windows XP). Otherwise it’ll be available through the Control Panel –> Add/Remove Programs. Look on the left-hand side of the dialog box (it’ll usually be the bottom one). From there look at the settings under “Custom” — you may need to click the down-arrow button to have it expand. The first option should be setting the default browser. Select “Firefox”. That should be it! Hope that helps!
