Is there a way to clean paint out of carpet?

previously, i spilled about 1/2 gallon of paint on my carpet. (klutz1) while it was still wet, i dumped at least a gallon of water on it, and sucked it up with my carpet cleaner. (no soap) there is no trace of paint left.

while painting again, i spread half of my paint tray (klutz2) since i had to leave for work, without properly cleaning it, i researched this site. water based paint should continue to come out with the same technique. Oil based paints are different. I use denatured alcohol. (it cleans MANY stains)

Well I’m not sure of what kind of carpet you have or what kind of paint but if I were you I would go to a home improvment store that sells carpet and tell them what kinf of carpet and paint and they will probably be able to tell you what to use or give some advice. I wouldn’t just use any thing someone says because carpet is a pretty big investment and you don’t want to ruin it…Good luck!!!
