Is there a way of making fabric with wool, other than knitting and crochet?
If you’re starting with wool yarn, it’s possible to weave the yarn into fabric on a loom. If you have loose wool, like roving, it can be needle-punched into a felt fabric. Both ways take special equipment, and even more time than knitting or crochet. It sound like your best bet is to get some kind of a home knitting machine – they come in various sizes, and in manual and electric versions. It’s still an additional expense, but it’s generally faster than hand-knitting. I’ve seen used ones at yard sales for $10 and going WAY up, but I don’t know what they would run new.
