Such a standard is not currently available. NIST has been evaluating a standard for the melt flow indexer (MFI), but to date one is not available for a capillary rheometer. The current recommendation on checking if the system is “in calibration” is that the user selects a stable reference material and periodically checks to see if the values are within acceptable limits.
