Answer Julie, Thank you for your question. There is not a verse in the Bible that lists the sacraments. Sacraments are an historical development springing from the theological development of the church. While there may be 7 identified by Roman Catholicism, in other churches such as Presbyterian there are only two sacraments: baptism and the Lord’s Supper or Holy Eucharist. There is a Catholic Encyclopedia available online which list the sacraments identified by the church as Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Eucharist, Penance, Extreme Unction, Orders and Matrimony.
