For most “adverse events”, the combination of patient ID (mask_pat) plus date (eventday) will be unique for the vast majority of events. However, some patients will have multiple events on the same day. To make a unique key, you must construct a counter that identifies the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. event on a given day.
