Generally the FSA will consider complaints relating to unfair contract terms where the contract has been entered into on or after 1 July 1995. However, the FOS has defined timeframes for when it can consider a complaint about an individual dispute; this is generally within six months of the consumer receiving the firm’s final response to their complaint.
