No, TMCCP sets no time limit to finish the certification program. This is a very common question, and the issue of a deadline for certification is often misunderstood. The Texas Municipal Clerks Certification Program is self-paced. An enrollee completes homework at a pace she is comfortable with. An enrollee attends seminars of his choice, when and where it is convenient to him. Be it years or decades, “when” an enrollee finishes the program is up to the enrollee. There are a few deadlines you may encounter within the certification program, but they are not deadlines for graduation.
