Is there a time limit on completing a course or assignment?
The MorningStar Academy adheres to an “anywhere, anytime, any pace” learning environment. Students have up to 10 months, September through June, to complete a course (although most are done in 6-9 months). A Daily Calendar of assignments is provided as a guide. Our system is designed so that students cannot progress to a new quarter until all work in the previous quarter is completed, so it makes sense to move at a regulated, sensible pace throughout the year.
As a private parent-led curriculum, each subscription entitles the student to work at their own pace, completing assignments and course work on their schedule within the 1 year subscription. If the Student has not completed the coursework within the 1 year time frame, they may resume at the beginning of the next subscription period.
There are no time limits in terms of completing your assignments. We allow our homeschool families to be as flexible as possible. If you would like to develop timelines to keep your homeschool student on track, you may do so. As long as your homeschool student’s courses are completed by June 30, homeschool students may take as long as you need to complete assignments. You may apply for an extension if you find you are unable to complete courses within the time period provided.
Learning By Grace is an “anywhere, anytime, any pace” learning environment. Students have up to 10 months, September through June, to complete a course. We may offer an optional summer extension session for an additional fee, for those who need extra time to complete their courses. Students who choose to enroll in the summer extension program are not able to add additional courses to their roster after May 15. Therefore, the courses a student is working on going into the summer extension program are the courses the student will continue to work on over the summer.
