Yes, The “ACDC” Adult Community Day Care Center provides a supported day program three days per week. The program is offered each Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 AM until 2:00 PM. Kate Eilert is the ACDC Program Manager. Funding and administration is provided through the Town of Nantucket – Our Island Home. All correspondence must be mailed to ACDC c/o Our Island Home, 9 East Creek Road, Nantucket, MA 02554. Elder Services may provide funding for eligible clients. This program is designed to enhance the physical, emotional and social well-being of senior adults, especially those who are socially isolated due to physical or emotional limitations. The staff is trained to help those who may need some assistance in self-care, such as stroke victims, people with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and other age related limitations.
