Is there a stigma attached to people who buy no-name(no brand) clothing?
This is not going to have a simple yes/no answer. If you are in school you will probably find that there is peer pressure to dress in a particular way. However this may or may not mean pressure to buy branded (designer) clothing. Only you can decide if this is important to you and if belonging to a particular group is worth the cost of dressing as required. But if you are asking if people in general have a stigma against no brand clothes I would say no. If you go to a shop the clerk is not going to give you a hard time because you don’t have the right logo on your shoes. Nor are people in any public place going to care in the slightest what brand of clothing you are wearing. I work in a large office with many people and no one cares what brand of shoes you have or if have some designer shirt or pants. It is utterly irrelevant. If anything in this current economy I think people appreciate thrift when they see it. Walmart probably sells more clothing than anyone else. Someone dressing up
