Is there a standard template for a PSM program?
Not absolutely. The Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) has developed a set of “conditions for affiliation,” including the right to post the PSM logo on the program’s Web site. Any institution is of course free to develop whatever degree program it wishes. It is not free, however, to advertise it as a PSM program without approval by CGS. In particular, an MBA program with a sprinkling of scientific rose water is not a PSM program! However, certain PSM programs arrange with their business school to confer the MBA on PSM graduates who elect to spend one additional year of study in the business school.
