Is there a specific duration for fixed-term contracts and/or internships?

There is no hard rule for the duration of a placement, whether it is a fixed-term contract or an internship. For internships, we tend to recommend a minimum of 4 months to make the experience beneficial for both the graduates and your organisation. However, the duration of any placement is entirely up to you and your specific needs. We have had proposals ranging from 2 months to 12 months. What are the typical financial conditions for an internship? There is no rule since this is entirely up to your organisation to determine whether any financial allowance will be allocated to graduates during their internship. We do ask you to note, however, that most students have financed the course themselves and so carry a considerable financial burden by the time the course ends. It is for this reason that we recommend, as a minimum, an allowance which covers the normal living expenses (accommodation, food, plus some extras) in the country you are based.
