Is there a special school for dyslexics?

0

Yes, there are special schools for dyslexics such as Appleford School (http://www.appleford.wilts.sch.uk/index.html). A specialist school is not always required but at least everyone there will be in the same boat and from what I know of Appleford, the pupils feel really supported and make great friends If you think you may be dyslexic then I suggest you get an official diagnosis as you will be able to get proper help with your studies then and at least you will know for sure what the problem is. The Appleford School website also has free factsheets on dyslexia which should be able to help you too. Unfortunately Appleford are in not based in Ontario but I’m sure you’ll find something suitable nearer home. Remember that dyslexia shouldn’t be a barrier to achievement and even Einstein was dyslexic! Good luck and remember that around one in ten people are dyslexic so you aren’t alone.
