Is there a small dog breed w/ shorthair?
There are a lot of small breeds with short hair. The Miniature Pinscher (which I personally own), the Pug, Dachshund (weiner dog), French Bulldog, Toy Fox Terrier, Rat Terrier, Italian Greyhound, Boston Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, etc. There are quite a few of them. They aren’t more difficult and high maintenance than larger dogs. I would actually consider them to be less high maintenance because of their size. Some of them can be high strung, can get spoiled easily and be more difficult to train however. So it all depends on the specific breed and what you feel you can handle.
