Is there a single low frequency protocol or many?
[ Top ] A: It is likely that there are as many protocols as there are practitioners. Low-frequency work, whether it is low frequency neurofeedback, slow cortical potential training, or transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), attempts to strengthen and improve the control and functioning of these energies. Protocols are only useful as a place to start. As an analogy, we didn’t learn the instruments, levers, and pedals in a car just to drive in the unoccupied parking lot. We learned them so that we could negotiate life’s surprises on the freeway. This is where the real learning begins. This is why it is called a “practice”. Seriously…study and practice this technique for a few months…then write your own. If not for others, then for yourself. When I started, my mantra was “where are the protocols.” I think I have learned that all around there are innumerable gems of information (wisdom) that help me help my clients.
