Is there a requirement to donate to the adoptive child’s orphanage(s)?
ICAB requires the family to pay the orphanage or Child Care Support Fund $1,000, at the time of acceptance, or when picking the child up. It must be in the form of an international money order or international bank draft made payable to the orphanage. ICAB then forwards the check to the orphanage.
