Is there a relationship between tamoxifen use and the development of eye problems?
Women in the tamoxifen group, in general, had no more eye problems than women taking the placebo. However, women taking tamoxifen may be at a slightly increased risk for developing cataracts (a clouding of the lens inside the eye) according to other research. As women age, they are more likely to develop cataracts whether or not they take tamoxifen.
