Is there a relationship between a reactive lymph node in the neck and an enlarged thyroid?

I noticed a lump towards the back right middle of the neck and I have an enlarged thyroid. The lump has been there since Nov 2008. I’ve been running slight fevers on and off for over three weeks now ranging from 99 to 101.5. I tire easily and mostly at night go back and forth between chills/sweats. I’m 42 years old, is there any relationship to all this?
