Is there a refresher or recertification course?
To ensure your locality retains “inter rater reliability”, about once every 6-9 months the FAPT, case managers, and vendors should work together to administer the CAFAS on the same case. This will alert staff who is scoring differently. That staff member can then review the CAFAS materials to identify their personal rating bias and/or discuss the case and scoring with one of the CAFAS trainers. WATCH OUT FOR “RATER DRIFT”!
