Is there a reason Rohan Preston didn review the Scottsboro Boys?
I find it a bit odd that Rohan Preston didn’t review the Broadway bound Scottsboro Boys? Also that the picture on line is soo big it fills the entire screen. As an audience member I thought the play disgusting, slapdash, and very lazy. The minstrel show was badly used and thrown together of different styles (except black face until the Chorus Line moment at the end which was just stupid). Their facts were wrong. And you were right there was no character development of the Scottsboro Boys in the Scottsboro Boys. But that’s okay. Not telling the truth about what happened to them (shameful for any school group that comes in and thinks this is all that happened to them), or getting to know them as full blooded human beings instead of “the Noble Negroes” I guess gets in the way of an audience shelling out the money, er, understanding there story. Yeah lies and omissions always does it for me. I can’t even follow what story they were telling or why it mattered. The music, you sure these are
