Is there a racial component to the salacious media coverage of Tiger Woods?
I don’t sense that there is a racial component in the media coverage of Tiger Woods’s marital problems. He’s being treated about the same as other celebraties, perhaps a bit more intensely because of his wide fan base. The media print whatever they think will sell papers or capture eyeballs. Woods is not thought of by many first as a Black but rather as the world’s greatest golfer who happens to be of mixed race ancestry.
