Is there a procedure for “repairing” CBH syndrome?
Unfortunately, no. There have been cases (like in the case of severe compensatory hyperhidrosis) of microsurgical reconstruction of the sectioned chain ganglia. The operation usually assumes the classic approach through thoracotomy and the results are modest. Cases are cited concerning reversible CBH syndrome, in the cases where a thermal lesion has been produced (in the moment of cutting the chain with the electrocautery) at the level of the stellate ganglia.
