Is there a problem with the rings “slipping” with the Maya Wrap, or the Zolowear slings; when you would put weight on them, the fabric doesn just slip through?
First of all, the reason I carry these two brands of “ring” slings, is because they are the best in the marketplace for durability, and quality. These slings are made of the highest quality materials, and have been thoroughly tested. The rings are of a quality that they will not break, and the fabric will not simply slip through. For example, the Maya Wrap rings have been tested to withstand more than 500 lbs of pressure before being bent. Ring slings are of the same size, and cannot go through or slip through each other. These kinds of issues were found early on in the “slinging world”, and this is why we carry the best products – tried and true. Parents need to use their best judgment when bending over with their child in any of the carriers. Simply use your hand to support your baby when you are leaning over; this is simply wise to do no matter how trustworthy a product. Unfortunately, accidents are usually the fault of the parent, simply being careless.
