Is there a priority sequence to hiring Assistants?
Yes there is. In order to meet both parties’ needs we agreed to a five step priority sequence. First priority are the graduate students entering their first year in a graduate program. Second priority are “Transitional External Students. Third priority are Ryerson University undergraduate students in the 3 rd or 4 th year of an undergraduate program and Ryerson graduate students in the second year of their program. Fourth priority are Ryerson undergraduate students enrolled in the 1 st or 2 nd year of an undergraduate program. These are normally the individuals hired for non-course related work and/or Lab Monitor/Advisor appointments.
