Is there a preference for single or multi-year projects?
No. The aim of the business plan is to seek proposals that will provide the Australian Government with the opportunity to invest in a suite of projects. These projects, whether single or multi-year, will need to show that they can contribute to one of more of the Caring for our Country targets. The government is interested in funding multi-year projects, but not to the extent that the full budget for the next four years is committed. As many natural resource management issues require a sustained, long-term commitment to achieve resource condition change, the aim where possible is to focus on developing long-term investment leverage (i.e. securing additional investment) and long-term partnerships.
