The point is to develop training methods i.e Ectomorphs tend to have a hard time gaining weight either as muscle or fat and thus when bodybuilding for instance it is best to use compound movements because large individual muscles is very hard so the idea is too compensate by increase the size of every muscle instead. An advantage to the Ectomorph is that they don’t put on much fat from the high calorie and protein diet required to build muscle and thus do not need to be concerned with Cardio to burn body-fat whereas a Endomorph might build muscle faster and bigger the process causes fat deposits causing them to abandon weight lifting in favour or cardio exercises.
