Is there a pilot project for snow removal in community areas for the 2010/2011 winter season?
In early 2010, Mayor Bronconnier earmarked $2 million as a “pilot project” to hire outside contractors to assist City forces. Contractors will help with known trouble spots and identified high collision areas, and will allow Priority 1 and some 2 routes to be treated at the same time. The contractor, hired through the City’s standard tender process, is Urban landscape Solutions (ULS) Maintenance & Landscaping.
