During an inmate’s incarceration, they may discover that they have been incarcerated for an Arrest & Commitment (i.e. failure to pay). What follows is a guide for payment of Arrest & Commitment fines. As of January 14, 1997 (may be modified in the future) Dollar Amounts Minimum Amount Allowed Under $125.00 Pay in Full $126 – $500 50% $501 – $1,000 40% $1,001 – $1,500 30% $1,501 – $2,000 25% $2,001 – $2,500 20% $2,501 – $3,000 15% Over $3,000 10% This chart is provided as a courtesy ONLY. To be release, the inmate (or a representative) MUST contact the Clerk of Court, http://scdev/dept_lnks/dept_webs/clk_crt/clk_crts.htm, office during normal business hours so a down-payment agreement can be drafted which bears the signature of a Clerk of Court representative.
