Rutgers University has no specific policy on computer purchases. Windows and Mac systems are common around campus and both can be used by just about every department. That said it is good practice, if your son/daughter knows what their intended major is to check with that department for any computing recommendations or requirements. Also be sure to see Question #5 above regarding discounts for purchases.
