The County currently does not have a continuous noise monitoring program in place. Lehigh is required to comply with the Santa Clara County noise ordinance and enforcement of those standards is by the County Department of Environmental Health (contact Peder Eriksson at 408-918-3448). The County Planning Office is contracting with an outside consultant to conduct noise monitoring during June or July of 2009, to provide information regarding current noise levels, and to help determine whether noise levels are within County requirements.
