Yes. The Port Nicholson Block (Taranaki Whanui ki Te Upoko o Te Ika) Claims Settlement Bill is now before the House. The Bill settles all Ngati Tama historical claims in the Port Nicholson Block and redress was offered on that basis. However, it also provides that if another Ngati Tama group achieves a Crown recognised mandate and negotiates a settlement, those Ngati Tama individuals can choose which settlement will settle their historical claims.
