“There is really no such thing as a new car return law,” Mr. Vigil told LoveToKnow. “Some states, like Connecticut, do enforce their own car return laws, but for the most part cars can only be returned by state lemon laws or by hiring a lawyer if you think the dealer or manufacturer has been negligent.” Mr. Vigil also explained that if you have a defective new vehicle, the dealer works with the manufacturer to repair it or replace it.
