Is there a network drop in room xxx?
Most offices and classrooms have a network drop but not all. You can check for a network wall plate in a room by looking for a wallplate with a drop id label like ED313/24(this would be a drop on the ED building third floor). Wall plates, other than some custom furniture drops, are either a light grey color or an ivory color and hold four inserts. Note that the ivory wall plates sometimes have telephone jacks in them too which are not quite as wide as a network jack. If wall plates are blocked by furniture or you would just like to double check please email network@uregina.ca and indicate that you would like to know if there are network drops in a particular room.
