Hi Al If your boards have T&G, are 100mm wide or wider and your concrete floor is level there’s no need to install plywood for installation purpose. You can install the new floor floating, using a Combi-underlayment that contains a DPM layer, glueing all T&G’s and leave an expansion gap around the perimeter of the room.
