Is there a need for assistance with teaching high school level science classes for home schooled children?
I have my PhD in biology and am looking into different alternatives for teaching careers. I was wondering if there was a need out there for help with teaching science. For example, would there be interest in paying a small fee for an organized biology or chemistry lab to complement what is being learned at home? As a scientist interesting in teaching I could supply reagents, microscope, etc that would not normally be available to the homeschooled student. Just as a note, I am not trying to market myself…I’m just trying to find out information. And I apologize if I am ignorant about the resources out there. I do want to add though, that the type of equipment I am referring to was not even available to me when I attended a well funded public high school. Thanks so much for all the incredibly helpful suggestions! Often there is. One homeschooled teen organized his own “high school” and when a few of his friends wanted to learn something, they’d hire a tutor and pay as a group for the in
