Is there a moral difference between cloning humans and cloning animals?
In terms of actually cloning to produce any kind of animal, I don’t think there are many benefits. It’s one thing to have cells in a dish that you can manipulate in order to help an organism that’s already alive, but I think past research has shown that cloned animals don’t tend to fare so well. Why inject that kind of research into human subjects? If you could clone one person, who would you clone? I’ll have to go with the Mother Theresa type. I have to, because there just aren’t that many extraordinary people around. Other people need a solid character to emulate and to have another person of her caliber would be something.
