Is there a monthly minimum toll requirement like other toll roads?
Yes. A Monthly Minimum Toll policy was implemented in September 2009. This fee only affects FasTrak accounts opened with South Bay Expressway who use less than $7.00 per month. Most account holders don’t have to worry about this fee because it amounts to around one trip per week. Those who are infrequent travelers will be charged the difference between their total amount of tolls used and $7.00 for the month. For example, if you spend $5 in tolls on SBX during the calendar month your account will be charged an additional $2, so that you would meet the account Monthly Minimum.
