Page 29 of the 2008 rules clearly states: Noise limit required is = 95 dBA Cabin Noise during all phases of High Power Flight Attempts. Also stated is that = 72 dBA measured 500 feet sideways on takeoff at brake release is required (78 dBA for VTOLs). The 72 dBA limit required applies throughout the takeoff run, though it is expected that the highest noise occurs at brake release.
