Is there a minimum dollar amount value of business necessary to go offshore?
No. There is no minimum amount necessary to go offshore. It is possible to conduct business or hold assets with a value of anywhere from a few hundred dollars to hundreds of millions of dollars offshore. This applies to company debt/re-financing as well – i.e. sophisticated offshore jurisdictions, such as the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands, have the necessary infrastructure (both in terms of oversight authorities as well as service providers) to handle some of the largest debt/re-financing projects in history.
