Is there a MIME type for SVG data?

0

The SVG 1.1 specification gives the MIME type as image/svg+xml in accordance with RFC 3023. However, this MIME type is not yet registered, and RFC 3023 says that it should not be used until it is registered. In practice it is used anyway. Yes, there are two commonly in use: image/x-svg and image/svg+xml. The latter is the more “standard” mimetype and should be preferred.
