Is there a luggage limit when traveling to China?
Even though the U.S. allows one carry on and two checked pieces of luggage per passenger, this is not the case for in-country flights within the country of China. You may only have one carry-on and one checked piece of luggage for flights within China. The total allowable weight for each passenger’s luggage is 20 kilograms (44 pounds). You may be fined for more pieces and/or overages in weight. We recommend that you take one carry-on and one checked piece of luggage per person. Most baby items needed can be purchased in China.
